Meet Top Female Speakers of Techsauce Global Summit 2020

With the focus of Social Impact, Digital Transformation, Diversity, 5G Case Study, GovTech, and Corporate Culture, Techsauce Global Summit 2020 will be a spotlight event of June 2020. The excitement has not died yet, here are the 5 wonder women from around the world will come to enliven the stages! Let’s take a peek of who they are.

1. Natalie Black (Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Asia Pacific)

Natalie Black has been appointed as Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner (HMTC) for Asia Pacific, including North-East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Australasia in September, 2018. Between 2015 to 2018, she held positions of the Deputy Head of Number 10 Policy Unit and the Director of Internet Harms Unit in 10 Downing Street. Before those positions, in 2015, she worked as the Director of the Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance at the Cabinet Office. 

Black has been active especially in the security sector even before she was affiliated to Civil Service. After her graduation as a Fulbright Scholar in Harvard Kennedy School, in 2012, she became a Chief of Staff for the Director of Security & Resilience at the London Organising Committees of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. She also was a management consultant after she graduated from London School of Economics.

As a HMTC, Black is responsible to maintain and improve the bilateral trade and investment relationship for British companies, and also develops finance and trade policy. Black also works closely with wider diplomatic network and UK-based colleagues to coordinate Her Majesty’s Government (HMG) activity on our wider prosperity agenda.

2. Anna Curzon (Chief Product Officer of Xero)

With her experiences in finance and tech industries for over 20 years, Anna Curzon leads Xero, an accounting software giant as a Chief Product Office. For over 4 years working in Xero, she commits herself to bring value by providing innovations, strategies, and inspirations. 

In 2017, Curzon is listed as the Top 25 Women Leaders in SaaS. This award did not come freely. After she finished her education in the University of Auckland and her training, she became a permanent worker of ASB Bank in 1997 and had successfully held several important positions; the last one is a General Manager Marketing which she got in 2013 to 2015. She then continued her career as a General Manager Digital First of Spark New Zealand before she joined Xero in 2016.

Curzon has expanded her career. In the present, besides being a Chief Product Office of Xero, she is also an active Board Member of Kea: New Zealand’s Borderless Nation and Member of Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Council.

4. Charlie Grosso (Founder & Executive Director of Hello Future)

Beginning her journey as a writer, marketing consultant, photographer, and creative director, Charlie Grosso finally sets her path as a Founder and Executive Director of Hello Future, a non-profit organization focused on providing education for refugees. In 2016, she created Hello Future. The next year after that, she and her team began Hello Future’s program to educate adolescent refugees, and it started in Iraqi Kurdista where Syrian refugees are living in the Barika (Arbat) Camp. 

Besides having important roles in the organization, Grosso holds other positions elsewhere. Since 2017, she has been partners with JMart Strategies, a boutique consulting firm to creatively innovate ways to make impactful brands, startups, and NGOs. Grosso has also become a part of the Community of Social Innovators at Acumen since 2018.  In addition, she has been a Fellow of  Edmund Hillary Fellowship (EHF) and Kravis Leadership Institute since last year.

Although Grosso pursues her passion in humanitarian aid, development and social impact investments now, she still takes time as a Freelancer Creative Producer and Director. Her clients include Sony, Nike Air Jordan, JWT, Saatchi & Saatchi, JCPenney, Target, Lexus, Toyota, Paramount, Variety and FX Networks.

4. Jeep Kline (General Partners of Translational Partners)

General Partner of Translational Partners, Jeep Kline has vast experiences in tech and international development. She holds the positions of the Advisor at Alchemist Accelerator and UCSF Health Hub, the Ambassador of Berkeley SkyDeck, and the Board of Director at Intel Alumni Network, besides her role in Translational Partners. 

Her career began in 2005 when she was appointed as Economist/Consultant of Data Science at the World Bank, where she served to manage big data, assist Ministries of Finance and local government in emerging markets, and led a team for implementing a decentralization project in Tanzania. The next 4 years after that, she teached Introduction to Business class at HaaS School of Business while she was studying MBA. After she graduated with Master’s degrees, she landed her next job in Intel Corporation and worked there for 7 years, with  Senior Director of Product Marketing & Business Development, Chief of Staff, Mobile & IOT becoming her last role there.  2 years before founding Translational Partners, a venture capital, Kline became the Chief Operating Officer at Early Stage Venture from 2017 to 2018.

Today, Kline focuses on developing her company, Translational Partners to be a venture capital who creates a big impact for society. This graduates of University of Michigan and University of California, Berkeley comprises 6 members of funds for long-term growth of technology, including tech executives and investors, deans from top schools, academic experts, and former advisors to US presidents and governments.
