The race is on for the Techsauce Roadshow 2018 and we want to give you the latest update on what is going on with a weekly report on whats in store for the 20 countries participating in the competition to win the grand prize at the Techsauce Global Summit 2018. To start the updates off, this week Techsauce Roadshow Techsauce Co-founder Oranuch Lerdsuwankij (Mimee) says this year the roadshow is heading beyond the Southeast Asia region. Find out how you can take part.
Techsauce 2018 is one of the largest tech conferences in Southeast Asia with 10,000 people. Our team will visit 20 cities. We call it a roadshow and we will pick up a winner of each city to join the final round of our pitching event in Bangkok in June.
This year Techsauce is upping its game, boosting attendance from last year’s 6,000 to 10,000 this year. Representation will be more global as this year’s Techsauce roadshow covers 20 cities including the Oceana region. The countries are Shanghai, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, New Zealand, South Korean, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Taiwan, Australia, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Israel, and Thailand.
Techsauce is hosting a pitching competition in each country to compete in the final pitching competition at Techsauce Global Summit 2018 on June 22-23 in Bangkok, Thailand.
For the winners of each country we will provide flights and accommodation from their cities to Bangkok and on the final round we will give a final prize or at least 8,888 USD (a Chinese lucky number)
In addition to getting you to the summit and a chance to win the grand prize, you will get your own booth to showcase your product to over 300 investors, 200 members the media, and representatives from 30 countries.
We also have another highlight. We are going to have many side events.
This year Techsauce is joining hands with Techstars, a global network that supports startups through accelerators and funding, to host the Thailand Startup Week for Southeast Asia (SEA) alongside the Techsauce Global Summit. Startups, entrepreneurs, and members of the industry are invited to have their own meet-ups during the week surrounding the summit to network. It is expected that over 200 community leaders will take part. So not only do you get to go to the summit, but other events as well.
Senior executives from Techstars will be sharing their extensive knowledge about the startup ecosystem as speakers at the Techsauce Global Summit 2018, as well as co-host the startup stage for knowledge sharing.
Techstars is a global network of accelerators operating in over 150 countries. The company is made up of over 10,000 mentors and 300,000 alumni. The company features a three-month program that is designed for startups to gain traction fast through close mentor engagement, rapid iteration cycles and preparation for fundraising.
This event is a good opportunity for every startup who want to expand their business into Asia so we hope to see the startups who are looking for the series A funding. It would be good if you have proved your concept already in your country and you have already gotten funding at the seed level. It should be startups looking for series A, series B because we have a lot of VCs that come from not only Asia, but from the western side. We also connect you guys to the corporate sector. It’s like a global connection.
Everyone can apply. You can go to www.summit.techsauce.co and inside that you will see a list of the cities that we will go. So you can join the event.
