Malaysia’s Techsauce winner RunCloud tackles server crashes with just one click

SAAS server manager RunCloud wins pitching Techsauce Roadshow pitching competition in Malaysia.

Competition for the grand pitching prize at Techsauce Global Summit 2018 is heating up as Malaysia crowns SAAS server manager RunCloud as the winner of the Malaysian leg of the Techsauce Roadshow.

Prior to the Malaysian pitching competition on January 19, 2018, Techsauce knew that it was time for something new to come from our neighboring country because there are so many more startups with potential to scale globally other than Grab. We were right. Our Malaysian partner MaGIC did not fail to bring the best of the best to the pitching stage at The Co Bangsar to fight it out to represent Malaysia at the final pitching stage at Techsauce Global Summit 2018 this June 22-23, 2018 at Centara Grand, Bangkok. With a grand prize of $8,880 USD and a featuring booth to attract over 300 investors and 200 members of the media from over 30 countries, the stakes were high.

The final decision was made and the champion is game changer RunCloud, a SaaS server manager for PHP servers that makes life easier for developers by providing an easy channel to deal with server crashes and complicated PHP server configurations with just one click.

It all started from pure frustration

It all began about five years ago with RunCloud Co-founder and CEO Arif Tukiman, Amir Fazwan and Ahmad Fikrizaman (Fikri), and the challenge how how to make life easier for developers when it came to deploying, configuring, and monitoring web servers. It became obvious to them that PHP programers would rather be programming or learning new concepts and frameworks than figuring out server administration.

However with the increasing access to powerful cloud hosting and VPS service providers like Digital Ocean, Linode, Vultr, and even Amazon Lightsail, programmers still had set up their own empty server box and IP address and Internet connection. Server configuration and administration were not common skills among developers. So that was then that original creators of RunCloud had the eureka moment of asking the question,

Hey, why not build another complete server control panel that is easy to understand?

After many trials and tests, RunCloud was created.

Server set up in under 15 minutes

RunCloud helps you setup and configure your server and optimize it for any PHP application. Once the server is ready, you can deploy your application easily into the server with an array of tools to better manage and monitor your server.

To use RunCloud, programmers only need to know basic SSH. Rent a VPS from Digital Ocean, Vultr, Linode, any VPS or dedicated server. You register the IP Address of the server to RunCloud, paste the installation script inside your VPS and press enter. That’s it! Once the installation script ends, you can manage your server using RunCloud.

All of this can easily be done within 15 minutes.

RunCloud monitors servers every 15 minutes and will email notifications. Users can start and stop services that they don’t use inside RunCloud or RunCloud will stop the ones you don’t use for you. Cron jobs can be managed inside RunCloud and you can create new user status for your friends. You can even manage your firewall with RunCloud.

RunCloud offers two packages. Of course one is the free trial valid for 5 days where users get all the features, have unlimited web application or websites, unlimited domain names, chose multiple PHP Version, and more. With the second package, the Pro plan, users pay $10 a month for extensive features and monitoring.
